Foster an Animal, Save a Life
Fostering an animal is a key component to saving animals! It requires the following from you the Foster:
- Keeping the animal in your home and socializing the animal – things such as (depending on cats or dogs) interacting with people, walking on a leash, using a litter box, non-food-aggression etc.
- Taking the animal to required Vet visits. ARF will pay the Vet bills but we need you the Foster to be responsible for knowing when the animal needs follow up visits
- Normally this requires inital Vet visit where animal is tested for worms (given de-wormer meds if necessary to be taken a home for a few days) – vaccinations are given and normally require a follow up booster for younger animals
- If your foster will be going to PetSmart adoption days they will require up-to-date vaccinations (including Bordella), Spay/Neuter, Flea/Tick Free and Socialized
